Animal is on the hunt for an experienced Senior Unity Programmer to help develop and build our upcoming arena multiplayer game RAWMEN.

RAWMEN is a light hearted, third person, soup-slinging food fighter. Battle alongside or against your taste buds (2-8 players), pitting average cooks with a talent for hurling fiery feasts against one another. Compete in various battle modes and challenges that test your pulverizing palate across several locales around the world.

Candidates should have extensive experience and an advanced background in Unity and real-time multiplayer gameplay engineering. It’s also crucial to have a passionate and collaborative attitude that fits with our friendly, supportive, and compassionate team.

Employment Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Type: Remote, but priority will be given to candidates open to working during PST business hours
  • Location: Anywhere, but the Los Angeles metro area is preferred.

The Role:

  • Prototyping & refinement of game play mechanics into current systems using C#.
  • Collaborate with teammates to meet milestones and feature requirements.
  • Implement front-end feature user experiences with the design team.

What We Need:

  • 4+ years of programming experience on shipped title(s) on current-gen consoles or platforms.
  • Extensive Unity development experience. Bonus: Ability to identify & communicate optimization opportunities.
  • Proficiency working with a C# codebase.
  • Understanding of back-end systems, and the ability to work with them. Such as: PlayFab, Azure Functions & Nodejs.
  • Experience working with git.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills including demonstrated ability to use lateral thinking, while also knowing when to tap other team members for help.
  • Strong understanding of programming design patterns and the ability to organize, document, and debug issues.
  • Flexibility learning and working with various technologies, platforms, and solutions.
  • Willingness to adapt to meet the needs of the team and project.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-moving and collaborative environment.
  • Fluent in English.
