We’re looking for someone with experience in javascript and/or RPG Maker MV to work on an unannounced turn-based RPG title by Adrienne Bazir (insertdisc5). This position would be at a contracted hourly rate on an as-needed basis to help crack troublesome errors and implement needed features and optimization throughout the game’s development.

The ideal candidate is someone who has the knowledge and flexibility to be able to work on a project periodically at various stages of development, and work remotely with the developer to provide guidance and hands-on assistance. Must be willing to sign a simple NDA to receive more specific details about the title and proceed to an interview!

We currently have a list of items we would need help with at this stage in development, and are seeking someone who would be able to resolve them, as well as help with additional instances that will arise in the future. This includes:

  • Assistance with implementation of game-specific features and scripts
  • Helping to troubleshoot and fix bugs related to unique mechanics or gameplay
  • Advice and help on issues like optimization, potentially more as development goes on

The ideal candidate is someone who would be able to occasionally work with the development team via Slack or phone call in Pacific Time. You would receive compensation in the form of your agreed-upon hourly rate on a monthly basis, with a project cap. Must be familiar with RPG Maker MV/Javascript.

How to Apply:

If interested, please contact jobs@armorgames.com with “RPG Maker Programmer” in the subject line, and include your qualifications, and hourly rate, and we will follow up with candidates for interviews.

About Armor Games

Armor Games is an indie games publisher focused on building a supportive, sustainable, and creative environment for amazing developers. We’re working on games like Bear and Breakfast, Snacko, The Last Stand: Aftermath, and Void Tyrant. With our roots in the early Flash/web games scene we’ve grown to become a publisher for indies on PC, console, mobile, VR, and beyond.

A Few of Our Recent Games

Bear and Breakfast (Gummy Cat Studio) is a laid-back management adventure game where you play as a well-meaning bear trying to run a B+B in the woods. Hank and his friends find an abandoned shack and, equipped with their teenage ingenuity, turn it into a money-making bed and breakfast scheme for unsuspecting tourists. As your business expands so do the mysteries of the forest, and Hank soon finds himself uncovering a plot deeper than the wilderness itself.

Step into the paws of former big city kitties named Momo and Mikan as they start a new life on a seemingly deserted island in Snacko (Bluecurse Studios). Unravel its mysteries while you rebuild a community, farm, fish, and explore the island and beyond! As Momo, with Mikan's help, you will literally build your home and community from the ground up. And maybe you'll also find out the secret behind the island's past along the way... ?

From the creators of The Last Stand: Dead Zone comes The Last Stand: Aftermath (Con Artist Games), an all-new singleplayer rogue-lite action adventure. Infected by the affliction that ravaged humanity, you set out to explore the apocalypse and find hope for your fellow survivors. Even like this, you can still make a difference. Don’t give up.

You can view more of our games like LumbearJack, The Tartarus Key, Swords & Souls: Neverseen and more on our website.
