Create beautiful, interesting and believable worlds for our players to explore, following stylistic cues from concept artists and designers, and adding your own input and artistic skill on top. Bring the environments to life with props and details that make them feel real and suit their setting.

Your initial primary role will be creating stylised real-world 1980s environments for our driving game ‘Transmission’. You will need to create buildings, road furniture, props and more to show off our retro roads and residences, making it a joy to drive around and be immersed in.

Though not essential, the ability to design and model vehicles alongside our existing art team is a plus.


  • Fully remote (must be based in the United Kingdom)
  • Advanced skill in your chosen 3D and 2D art software (e.g. 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, Substance Designer/Painter, ZBrush, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the full game asset creation pipeline: high-poly sculpting, retopology, UV mapping, texture baking, texture painting, setting up and exporting to game engine
  • Strong understanding of proportion, scale, perspective, lighting and colour
  • Strong understanding of modular workflows as it relates to architectural assembly and asset creation
  • Advanced knowledge of physically based material workflows and shaders
  • Experience in modelling real-world environment


  • Can execute in a range of visual styles from realistic to stylized
  • Unreal Engine 4 experience
  • Strong narrative and environmental storytelling skills with regards to set dressing and world building
  • Knowledge and love of 80s aesthetics, vehicles and interiors
  • Experience in modelling real-world cars
  • Experience developing and optimising for mobile/lower-spec devices
  • Version Control / Continuous Integration experience
  • Jira experience

Important Information

  • Starting salary of £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)
  • Set your own hours – Delivery-focused production allows you to set your own start time, end time, and make time for necessary life activities
  • No crunch
  • Christmas Holiday period – All employees have December 20th – January 3rd as complimentary holiday, which is not subtracted from your holiday entitlement
