CMD:Studio is looking to add another exceptional person to our team. The work will be primarily about the technical development of our exciting new project currently in full production, Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt!
The ideal candidate will be looking to grow into being an integral part of the team over the course of future projects as well.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new systems and features in Unreal Engine 4 according to the design requirements
- Work closely with design, art & sound to support rapid iteration on existing systems
- Create tools and debug programs that will aid in debugging and creating game content easily
- Optimization of performance, profiling and identifying issues with implementation
- Overall bug fixing and code refactoring
- In charge of maintaining the existing automated builds system , supporting launches and game updates, achievement implementation, statistics/analytics and localization
- Work with specific platform and storefront tech requirements and implement necessary solutions (e.g. Steam, Epic)
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience of Unreal Engine 4 and Blueprints
- A degree in Computer Science (or related discipline / equivalent experience)
- Excellent knowledge of Perforce, Steamworks &, Jenkins, or other equivalent tools
- General knowledge of UE4 Widgets, Materials, Data Tables, Curves & Timelines, Behaviour Trees and experience working on systems such as: Game Flow, Menus, Collision and Physics, NPC AI, Animation, Controller support, Menu Settings, Save/Load systems
- Shipped games (indie or AAA)
- Excellent communication and self-management skills
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and task estimation
- General knowledge of ports on PC or console
- Fluent in C++ or similar low level programming language
- Passion for horror games and a general interest in the genre
- An understanding of the game development process within the scope of an indie studio

Harvest Hunt, is a first-person, stealth horror game, played over multiple 10-15 minute runs. The game is based in a dark European folklore setting and brings the tension of horror games and replayability from rogue-lites together, a feature rarely explored in the genre.
Welcome Home is a murder mystery set in two timelines in which you play both the murderer in the past and the investigator in the future.
