About Us:

Codeglue is a game development studio based in the urban city center of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Founded in 2000 by two University friends, Codeglue nowadays develops games for PC and for the latest generation of consoles. Our games feel great to play, have a note-worthy art style and have an innovative design angle. We love to work together with other fellow game developers and we're always tinkering with the latest innovations whether it's virtual reality, augmented reality or blockchain technology.

We pride ourselves on our expertise and our company culture. No matter how much our team grows, we still feel like family. We’re lifelong learners and open‑minded collaborators with a “can do” attitude, who are ready to move mountains on the behalf of our clients. Besides a “work hard” attitude, we always take the time to organize in-house game jams, play (board) games together, or go to a pub.

A Few of Our Games:

Codeglue’s first project with NIS America, is the adaptation of two PS Vita games called Saviors of Sapphire Wings and Stranger of Sword City Revisited to Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam and GOG). Artwork was upscaled (by hand and using AI/ML algorithms) to meet with standards of the current generation of platforms. Based on Codeglue’s proprietary C++ framework Octarine, we added a localization system and handled all console related functionality.

Spellbenders is a team-based online action game that uses collectible spell cards to let players create their own character class. Two teams of spellbenders battle each other and try to steal the opponent’s King Crystal to bring them back to the team’s base. To get these King Crystal players have to battle the opponent’s Titan King who is guarding them with vigor. The team that steals all the King Crystals first, wins the match.

Spellbenders is a new original game idea by Codeglue, which won the Alto Cryptogame Challenge late 2018.
