Double Loop Games is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Tester with experience working on F2P live-operated mobile games to perform in-house testing, create testing processes, and assist with overseeing external QA testers to ensure high quality releases.

WHO DO WE WANT
Double Loop Games is looking for a Senior QA Tester who has deep knowledge and experience in testing live-operated mobile games, ensuring bug-free live updates, player account integrity, and an exceptional player-facing experience. The Senior QA Tester will perform in-house testing and reporting, help select and then assist with managing external QA testers, create testing procedures and workflows, research submission requirements, and work closely with Production, Design, Engineering, Art, and Analytics team members to develop test plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform functional and compliance testing, personally run and oversee the execution of test plans and enforce accurate bug reporting
Communicate significant game breaking and qualitative issues to Producers and company leadership
Develop functional test cases and test plans curated to specific phases of development, (including Production, limited Soft Launch, and Global Launch), specific title features, and mock review feedback
Progressively refine test and general processes for continuous improvement in development and live operations
Assist with triaging bugs; review all issues entered by internal and external teams to ensure bug reports include required information, are properly assigned, and conform to Double Loop QA standards
Review all disputed (‘Not a Bug,’ ‘Will Not Fix,’ and ‘Duplicate’) issues with Production
Assist with leading an external QA test team. Act as their main point of contact, communicating their priorities and requirements, monitoring and evaluating their bug quality, and ensuring that proper workflow is followed
Assist with managing QA resources for yourself and external test teams that will be scaled up and down through development phases
Create daily or weekly (as needed) reports summarizing title quality, stability, and issues for stakeholders
Support ensuring the team uses best practices for testing live-operated mobile games, including versioning, test staging, cloning live accounts to test with, and more
Coordinate the setup of hardware and test resources
Research, document, and maintain a knowledge base of test tools and first-party technical requirements
Review and assess compliance reports from App Stores
Understand and embrace the constraints of a game development cycle (know when bug fixing and optimization become more important than new features)
QUALIFICATIONS
Able to identify defects in video games and report defects in a clear and concise manner
Experience with bug tracking solution required (JIRA / DevTrack / Bugzilla / etc.); experience with JIRA very strongly preferred
Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and written
Conscientious, self-motivated, maintains perspective and a sense of humor
1+ years in a video game Senior QA Tester role
3+ years total video game QA experience
HUGE PLUSSES
Experience on mobile F2P games operated live and at scale
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Games Technology, or a related field
Experience with Unity
Experience with profiling tools (Unity's profiler, Instruments, Snapdragon profiler)
Experience with testing analytics
