E-Line is looking for an industry veteran Creative Director to join our team and help us build an exciting new impact-focused game based on a high-profile Hollywood IP franchise. The game will explore meaningful and resonant themes through a narrative-driven RPG. This is an executive-level position, working closely with the CEO, President, CTO, Head of Production, VP Marketing, and other production executives.  

We are open to exploring the possibility of the position being remote for the right candidate.

As our Creative Director, you will ...

  • Providing creative vision for the project including game design, visual look-and-feel, narrative and sound design;
  • Creating guidelines for design documentation and choice of tools for the project;
  • Reviewing and approving all of the creative deliverables throughout the development cycle, from concept and design documents to all key development deliverables;
  • Managing design team to define design deliverables including budgets, milestone  schedules, and development plans for accomplishing these deliverables;
  • Ensuring all key design milestones and deliverables are achieved within ‘indie’ budgets  and timeframes;
  • Troubleshooting challenges and conflicts as they arise in the design process;
  • Communicating effectively both with the game development team as well as domain experts, marketing and company management;
  • Staying on top of industry trends to ensure the game design and direction is compelling and relevant;
  • Helping to rise the sector of impact gaming through developing innovative models for aligning game design, positive social impact, and business outcomes; and
  • Contribute to an exciting, innovative, and supportive work environment;

We are looking for someone who has …

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in a creative leadership role on commercial games;
  • Having creatively led multiple commercial games from inception to launch;
  • Experience managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams and delivering game  products on time and at a high-quality level;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with design, programming, art as well as domain  experts, project partners, and investors;
  • Passion for creating high-quality games that can both make money and a positive impact on players and on our society.
