Firebolt Games are a London-based digital game and toy developer. We blend Augmented Reality with physical objects using our own bespoke SpatialVision™ technology to create unique, exciting experiences. We are currently developing a series of mobile games as well as original and licensed titles on Roblox.

As a Developer at Firebolt Games, you will be involved in programming and coding new features and gameplay. You’ll be involved in planning and estimating the complexity of your work and working with our other developers, artists and designers to implement features in C# using the Unity game engine. You’ll also be involved in coding for our Roblox games.

We are a small team where everyone is required to wear multiple “hats” (metaphorically!) and so you will get a good overview of many areas of game coding and programming, and also have the chance to contribute to game design, mechanics and new game ideas.

A love of video games and an interest in game development is essential, as is a knowledge of programming in C# in Unity or game development in Roblox Studio.

You will need to have a good visual eye - you care about how the game looks and plays, not just writing good code - and be keen to learn and muck in to help out in other areas of game development.

A qualification in Computer Science (or similar) is strongly beneficial, and you will need to have at least one personal project you can show us, to demonstrate your programming level and ability.

This position will be remote, home working, so it is essential that the candidate has access to a home computer and good internet connection. You will be required to attend multiple, online video meetings and team play-test sessions during the day, so depending on your situation some headphones and a microphone may be required.
