Firebolt Games are a London-based digital game and toy developer. We blend Augmented Reality with physical objects using our own bespoke SpatialVision™ technology to create unique, exciting experiences. We are currently developing a series of mobile games as well as original and licensed titles on Roblox.
As a QA/Designer at Firebolt Games, you will be testing and playing our live and in-development titles, reporting and documenting bugs and issues, checking localisation as well as having the opportunity to contribute to level, mode and gameplay design.
We are a small team where everyone is required to wear multiple “hats” (metaphorically!) and so you will get a good overview of all areas of game development, working with all disciplines to design, implement and test the games together.
You will learn how to use bug reporting, project planning and source-control software, as well as gaining some experience with the Unity game engine and Roblox Studio.
You will help develop testing plans for the games and produce game design documents and wireframes.
A love of video games and an interest in game development is essential as is attention to detail and good organisational and documentation skills.
Knowledge of the Unity game engine and/or Roblox Studio would be a bonus but are not essential.
This position will be remote, home working, so it is essential that the candidate has access to a home computer and good internet connection. You will be required to attend multiple, online video meetings and team play-test sessions during the day, so depending on your situation some headphones and a microphone may be required.
