Five Mics Studios is building “Five Mics,” a digital hip-hop trading card game (think Hearthstone, but with rappers not dragons).

We’re looking for a Producer / Operations Manager who will work closely with the CEO to ensure the quality and timeliness of each team member working on Five Mics by managing day-to-day cross-functional workstreams so that game production runs on schedule and in-budget. The ideal candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units.

We are in our early stages as a studio and are looking for someone that is eager to jump into something brand new, hit the ground running, and build something huge that’s never been seen before.

The role is hybrid and based in Los Angeles, CA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability
  • Manage the daily functions of the business
  • Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes
  • Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed
  • Manage budget to align with goals of business

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, program management, project management, or a similar role
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Monday, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Comfort working with multiple stakeholders across business

 

Bonus Points:

  • Strong experience working in the gaming industry in a similar type role
  • Solid experience in playing and/or creating trading card games
  • Love hip-hop music and culture
