We’re Ganymede Games, an independent, fully-remote game studio, and we’re looking for a part-time Community Manager to join our team. We're all passionate gamers with a unique mix of industry veterans (ex-Riot Games) and rookies. We're fun, serious about success and driven to create awesome experiences for players.

About our work culture: We're an inclusive team that values diversity. We don't value fancy titles. If you're looking to be the senior lead mother superior principal and community director, we're probably not the studio for you. We value your passion over your experience. We value humility, because players don't care what you did in the past, they want to be heard, engaged and their issues resolved. What players want, what would delight, surprise and exceed their expectations inform all our decisions.

As our Community Manager, you will be responsible for building and nurturing the Xenotheria community across various social media platforms, engaging with fans, and handling customer support issues. You will work closely with the marketing and development teams to develop and implement community initiatives and strategies to foster a positive and engaged player base. You will also be responsible for creating and curating content for our social media channels and website, as well as organizing and promoting events such as streams and giveaways.

We’re a lean, indie team of fifteen and looking for someone who can solve problems, take ownership, and drive work to completion.

This position is a part-time contract for a duration of 3 months, with the potential to transform into a longer-term, permanent position. You can work remotely from anywhere in the world (our current team has members across the USA, Australia, Argentina, Scotland, Greece, Turkey and Georgia).

What’s the mission?

  • Build and manage Xenotheria's online community, including social media channels and Discord server
  • Create and curate content for social media channels and manage the editorial calendar
  • Engage with our followers and foster a positive and supportive community
  • Respond to player inquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with the development team to ensure that player feedback is heard and incorporated into game updates
  • Monitor social media analytics and make recommendations for improvement

Must haves:

  • Proven experience as a community manager or social media specialist in the gaming industry
  • Passion for gaming and knowledge of the deckbuilding or RPG genre
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing skills with experience creating engaging content for social media channels
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms
  • Ability to work remotely and manage your own schedule

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with game development or QA testing
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing
  • Familiarity with Discord or other community management tools
  • Experience with influencer marketing or community outreach campaigns
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Details:

  • Location: Fully remote
  • Form of employment: Part-time contract (20 hours/week)
  • Employment length: 3 months, with potential to transform into a longer-term, permanent position
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Rate: $20USD/hour

To apply:

  • Send us an email with your resume, cover letter, and portfolio with writing samples of social media content (online only)
  • We’ll take notice of a well-written cover letter that shows you did your homework on our company and explains why you’re interested in joining our team. We’d love to hear about your favorite games, sci-fi movies/documentaries, and personal hobbies, so tell us about what gets you most passionate!
  • If we’re interested in moving forward with your application, we will contact you to continue the process.
