Gerdoo Games is a recently funded game studio located in Seattle, WA. Our team is currently working on our first game, Republic of Jungle. It is a 5 to 10 player social deduction party game that is played in a similar setting as Jackbox Party Packs. Republic of Jungle has been selected to showcase in multiple festivals. Most notably, it was a PAX 10 selection at Pax West 2021. We are currently looking for a Community Director / PR Manager who can help us with the discovery, acquisition, and retention of a very engaged and vibrant community. This role is fully remote.‍

Job Responsibilities:

• Update, monitor, and engage with the community on our Discord server (most important) and other forums like Steam, Reddit, etc.
• Self-start and take the Lead on creative community initiatives and events to engage and delight players
• Reach out and communicate with streamers and content creators to let them know about our new game and invite them for collaborations
• Run our social media channels and post with a reasonable cadence, as well as engaging with the fans on these platforms
• Run monthly community events such as game nights, dev Q&As/AMAs, etc.
• Communicate community and player feedback to the dev team
• Strategize, brainstorm, and help with marketing campaigns
• Be the face of Republic of Jungle dev team!‍

You Are:

• Fluent in English.
• Experienced in community management, program management, and/or public relations
• Comfortable with running creative community initiatives to help grow and retain a vibrant community of gamers.
• Passionate about video games and board games.
• Skillful communicator: commenting, responding to emails, and supporting players are fun for you!‍

Bonus:

• You are a creative writer that loves storytelling.
• You are based in North or South America. This is a remote position, but ideally, you’re in a similar time zone to most of our team.
