Happy Volcano is looking for an experienced technical artist (senior) who can help us port our Unity game “The Almost Gone” to a challenging new platform. You’ll play a crucial part in optimizing or replacing the existing shaders, image effects and post processing in the project with performance friendly alternatives.

If you like a challenge and are skilled in optimizing GPU performance, you might be the person we’re looking for! You’ll be working in a small team including a programmer, team lead and fellow technical artist.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the game’s use of shaders and profile their GPU usage
  • Use top-notch optimization techniques to achieve comparable visual results while improving performance drastically
  • Work towards milestone deadlines to deliver the project on time

 

Requirements

  • Technical proficiency in Unity3D
  • Strong understanding of GPU profiling and optimization techniques
  • Excellent shader programming -and optimization skills
  • You’re an excellent communicator and fluent in English
  • You are able to work remotely during core Central European Time
  • Familiarity with agile practices
