We’re looking for a Tech Artist to join our Technical Art team, helping the team establish tools and improve our pipelines in regard to rigging, animation, VFX, SFX, and Characters. You will guide the team in exploring industry best practices and collaborate across Engineering, Design and Art to help bring our characters to life in a scalable way and optimize the game assets.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain an efficient technical content development pipeline for 3D Character Rigging and animation based tools
  • Work closely with the character/skin team for custom skins and personalization.
  • Identify opportunities around optimization and implementation around animation, VFX and SFX.
  • Balance the artistic direction with gameplay clarity needs.
  • Find creative ways to deliver within the vision while staying within the performance limits
  • Identifying new opportunities to incorporate technology to increase art workflow efficiency and unlock new creative opportunities may be through pipeline, tool building, or documentation.


Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a technical artist in games
  • Familiar with technical art development pipeline and best practices
  • Experience working in Maya and other standard creation tools
  • Experience working in Unreal, or other game engine tools and plugins.
  • Experience coding with at least one language - Blueprints, Python or similar programming languages used in games.
  • Experience working with material graphs inside Unreal.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in UE4 with Niagara system
  • Experience in UE4 with Animation Montages / Blend Spaces
  • Experience with Character Lighting in games, Advanced Material creation, or profiling.
