Are you anxious to apply your Unity skills towards solving technical challenges with creative solutions? Do you believe that games are art? That gameplay rules but story matters? Are you passionate about creating content that leaves a mark on people and inspires their imagination? We're seeking a programmer for a highly-targeted 3-month contract position requiring 10 hours per week, with a possibility of being extended and/or expanded into a full-time position. This role is remote and available inside & outside of the US.

ABOUT THE GAME

"Algernon" is a blend of casual action and puzzle-solving within an unpredictable & surreal world. With a story focused on the importance of family and building connections, the game is being built as a bright spot in today's ever-darkening world.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Write & maintain quality C# code
  • Implement, Improve, and Combine systems and features
  • Co-manage Trello boards to track pending and completed tasks
  • Respect organization and optimization protocols to keep the project clean and stable
  • Communicate and collaborate with the team to test regularly and devise solutions/improvements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • At least 3 years of experience developing games in Unity
  • A proven proficiency with C#, Unity Engine
  • Understanding of data systems and management
  • Perforce proficiency required
  • Good knowledge of Unity rendering, lighting, UI, and animation systems
  • Equal parts professionalism and passion

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly rates are negotiable depending on experience.

TERM

  • 10 hour/week paid contract role
  • Starting date is ASAP
