Intorqa is an intelligence platform designed to help reduce cheating in video gaming. We do this by providing automated monitoring of cheat vendors, marketplaces and forums to identify and review all cheats as soon as they are sold or shared. Amongst other benefits this gives development teams more time to engineer patches and the insight they need to prioritise resource (i.e. they can see which have the most traction) and provides legal depts with the insight they need (e.g. the ranking of all cheat vendors by individual games) to optimise their take down strategy and target many more.
This role’s focus is on optimising, updating and expanding the data that underpins our service, and supporting operational and engineering tasks to ensure they are delivered on time and accurately. You will be required to carry out background research and present your findings across the company clearly, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable asking questions and consulting internally, as well as recording and explaining what they find appropriately.
A strong interest in gaming is essential, as are a keen eye for detail and a basic understanding of producing and reading spreadsheets. The candidate will spend a lot of time in social media channels and websites to assess and collect information, so a good understanding of social media, website structure and the tools behind them is desirable.
Deliverables will vary from daily operational tasks to longer research projects and the candidate must be comfortable managing a varied workload. Confidence working with data is desirable, but not essential.
As a start-up, Intorqa will give the candidate a unique opportunity to be involved in a business as it launches and grows, attracting and onboarding clients and developing the service offering. At the same time the candidate will develop a good knowledge of the video game ecosystem and business drivers within it, as well as strategic planning skills and familiarity with the creative process, including writing briefs, evaluating creative ideas, producing campaigns, budget management, campaign measurement and evaluation, and presentation skills.
