We are currently working on an unannounced original narrative-driven simulation game and are looking for a System Designer. This position will be designing and implementing AI behaviors and other simulation systems related to the broader game loop. This designer will report to the creative lead (Davey Wreden) to help interpret, design, and implement high level goals for various game systems as it relates to creating a fun narrative experience.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with a small team to develop a compelling narrative experience.
  • Balance, implement, and iterate on various gameplay systems.
  • Design and implement AI behaviors and actions.
  • Adjust and tune system values to create satisfying moment to moment gameplay.
  • Create and maintain design documentation to communicate ideas to the team.
  • Iterate on game systems based on playtest feedback.


  • Analytical skills with the ability to communicate and identify the relations in a problem space.
  • Proficiency with UE4 blueprints.
  • One or more shipped game titles.
  • Proficiency with excel.


  • Experience developing narrative games and/or simulation games.
  • Experience designing AI.
  • Console development experience.
