About
Krillbite Studio

We are an independent game developer with a focus on creating unique and innovative experiences. We are currently a team of ten, working on two projects. We don't do work for hire - all our projects come from the team internally.

The company was founded in 2011 to develop Among the Sleep, a horror game where you play as a 2-year old child, which was released in 2014. We then moved on to Mosaic, a story about urban isolation and our modern society, released in 2019.

We've also created smaller experimental titles, like The Plan, where you play as a fly, and our most recent release, Sunlight, a gentle, philosophical “audiobook” experience.

Our office is located centrally in Oslo, at Grünerløkka, shared with our friends Hyper Games and Megapop. Together we make up the game developer collective Oslo Game Hub.

Sunlight is a short, vibrant and thought captivating exploration game. Journey into the uncharted forest, guided by the harmonised whispers of the trees. Each tree with different voices, genders and dialects, speaking as one.

Taking artistic inspiration from expressionist painters like Monet and Munch and focusing on a powerful 3D audio experience with breath-taking choir work, Sunlight will leave you feeling entranced and in wonder in this artistic approach to telling you a story.

Mosaic is a mysterious narrative game, where you follow the repetitive and lonely life of an average commuter. Until one day, when strange things start happening.

The first person horror adventure, in which you play a two year old child. After waking up in the middle of the night to mysterious sounds, you start exploring the dark looking for comfort.
