Working With Us

Land & Sea is looking for talented people to join the team and help us craft new games, as well as support our existing titles. If you're interested in working with us, please apply!

We encourage you to submit an application, even if you don’t feel you meet all of our requirements. We care more about working with people who want to help us craft artful, accessible experiences and pride themselves on being a joy to work with than ticking all the boxes.

We also strongly encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds to apply – as a new studio, we’re committed to building a supportive, inclusive work environment from day one.

As a team, we seek to prioritise wellbeing as a core tenet of our development process. Launching a game can be a hugely rewarding experience, but it is just a passing moment in time. We believe that feeling happy, supported and capable in our everyday lives will allow us to do our best work, and create truly meaningful games.

We're currently hiring artists, designers, and programmers. You can view (and share) all of our open roles here.

Additional Information

Land & Sea is based in the South West of England, however, this position is permanently remote. While we are open to applicants from around the world, we prefer to keep our team closer to home, so applicants from the United Kingdom and Europe are preferred. However, if you meet the above requirements and don’t mind ensuring your hours reasonably overlap with ours most days, please apply, wherever you are!

For applicants based within the United Kingdom, we are able to offer a full-time employment contract. For applicants outside of the UK, we are able to offer the role as a 12-month, full-time contract. In both cases, the role includes a high degree of autonomy and flexibility, which is critical as a small, cross-discipline team.

Land & Sea is a small team of creatives crafting meaningful, highly polished experiences. Our vision entails sustainable work practices including, realistic work hours, zero crunch, and a focus on developing games that add value to the lives of our players. We are an inclusive studio that seeks to provide a healthy and supportive work environment for our team.

While we work closely with Snowman — our partner on the Alto series — we are two distinct studios. In this role you will be directly working for Land & Sea, but regular collaboration with Snowman being built into the process of our continued support of the Alto series.

We’d love to hear from you, so please apply using our application form if you are interested in this role! We will follow up with individuals whose application and folio best fit our requirements as soon as possible.

Kind regards

– The Land & Sea Team

Our Titles

Our Next Project - Alongside the reveal of the studio in September of 2020 we shared a teaser image of our first original title unde the Land & Sea banner. While we are not quite ready to share more, we feel this title is best described as an accessible, coming-of-age folktale set against an ancient pastoral landscape.

Our goal is to ensure this title encapsulates the themes and values we seek to embody at Land & Sea. We can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been working on!
