​Little Red Dog Games is looking for a Lead Artist with a strong background in 3D environmental asset development also willing to support visual concept work with 2D sketches to drive the artistic vision and development of our games, particularly a charming single-player hotel management simulation currently in-development.

This is a full-time remote-working position with flexible hours. All that money saved avoiding uncomfortable small-talk in the communal kitchen goes straight into your pocket. LRDG is a progressive developer with a decade of experience and several exciting new projects on the go. As Lead Artist, you will work with the Project Director to define the aesthetic of the game from the earliest stages, contribute to that development process, mentor and support the art team. We’re looking for a generalist who is willing to stay with us for the long-haul and lend their creative vision to the future catalogue of LRDG products. Little Red Dog Games has been developing deceptively strategic videogames that look and feel different for almost a decade. Responsibilities‍

  • Create concept sketches and other benchmark assets that establish quality expectations and inspire others.
  • Participate virtually in regular executive-level meetings and art-team meetings as-needed.
  • Participation in the development of 3D assets, with a specific emphasis towards environmental art.
  • Support our 3D character asset team as needed with providing feedback to improve upon modelling, rigging and animation.
  • Work alongside an international team of designers, programmers, artists and audio engineers

‍Qualifications‍

  • Experience developing stylized art for commercial videogames.
  • In-depth knowledge of a modeling software such as Maya or Blender.
  • Experience with texturing and lighting.
  • Willing to assume a leadership role to drive the creative direction of a game.
  • Loves the freedom and flexibility that comes with teleworking.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems and has excellent follow-through.
  • Comfortable with the Unreal asset development pipeline.
