We are looking for an experienced community and social media manager to join our team and help us bring Wreckless, our first game, to market. Someone who can create content for our social media, moderate our Discord server, and grow our community of players.

The position is remote work. Please note that we are also open to hiring part-time for this position. We will start with a three months freelance contract which ideally turns into employment.

Our platform, Magicyard, brings tabletop, party & co-op games to every home with a TV.

Wreckless is our first digital board game, designed by Richard Garfield, the creator of Magic the Gathering. The game is a mesh of a drafting game and an auto-battler: Players bid to assemble racers who compete in a series of races, gaining points by stealing, betting, and winning the race first.

The game is designed for consoles and smart TVs, where people can play in the same room or online, using the TV as the board and their phones as controllers.

More about the Role

As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for attracting, growing, and supporting our community of players.

Your tasks will include:

• Establishing community relationships with our engaged and passionate players
• Writing and posting inspiring content on our social media platforms
• Responding to our players and moderating the community via email and Discord
• Developing a social media strategy to increase engagement and followers

You are:

• Experienced in the gaming industry, especially with social media or community management.
• Proactive and well-organized. You strive to get things done and can organize your work in a structured manner.
• Native or native-like level in written and spoken English.
• Excellent at written and verbal communication, sharp, engaging, and with a sense of humor :)
