The Junior QA Tester role within nDreams will see you working as part of a small team on our latest project across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for high quality, hands-on testing, reporting and regression of nDreams’ projects. Working alongside the QA Manager, production, and the development team to ensure our projects are of the highest quality possible.
You need to have a keen interest in video games and the technology around them, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong attention to detail. In addition to being able to analyse problems, think critically and outside the box when looking at feature implementation, and maintain awareness of multiple in-game elements.
You must be able to communicate in writing how to reproduce issues with the project, approach often complex problems with an analytical mind and collaborate with others to find solutions to a variety of issues. In addition to having good knowledge retention skills and a good eye for detail.
It would be beneficial if you have any understanding of Unreal Engine 4 or other game engines, broad knowledge, and experience of different gaming genres, as well as if you have actively participated in closed or open Beta experiences, reporting issues through in-game menus or forums.
We intend for this role to be office-based when the restrictions allow, this will give the individual the greatest opportunity to shadow others and learn communications skills from the team. Our offices are based in Farnborough and there will be another member of the operations team on-site to mentor throughout the six months.
