We are looking for a Technical Artist - Rigging and Animation to work in our exciting and dynamic international development environment.

You will be working in a hybrid remote working cross functional environment; This is suitable for individuals who have excellent self discipline, team and task ownership, and strong communication skills.

Communicating very technical aspects of your work to different people and cultures outside of your immediate discipline will be common; therefore, we're looking for someone who is clear, courteous, patient and empathically professional in the way they communicate.

Candidates should possess the following qualities;

 

What you'll be doing

  • Working closely with our Animators to create engaging real-time and cinematic animations
  • Creating AAA quality full body and facial control rigs
  • Assisting in maintaining our keyframe and/or motion capture workflows and knowledgebase
  • Assist in maintaining our animation clips and animation database
  • Work with a range of global AAA developers and upcoming international creative talent
  • Although primarily working with Characters, you will also work on other asset types like creatures, mechanical creations etc.

  • Graceful receiver of feedback and a proactive provider of creative solutions
  • Takes initiative and can self manage
  • Knowledge management and documentation
  • Strong understanding of rigging, skinning and related character technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting with other departments.
  • Understanding of human body and facial anatomy.
  • Excellent working knowledge of scripting - Maya Python/PyMEL, and PySide/PyQt GUI design experience (You'll be mainly making tools for the game production team)(If the individual has limited skill in using maya but shows talent we are happy to train them)
  • Unreal Engine and/or Unity
  • mainly working with Maya/Zbrush/SubstancePainter
  • Version Control - Git
  • Math skills

 

Bonus Skills

(Having additional skill or experience in the items listed below will earn you additional consideration)

  • Experienced C#/C++, Maya C++ API (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience)
  • Blender (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience)
