As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue through partnerships and integrations with the best live services games out there. You’ll work closely with a fast-paced product and engineering team, as well as stakeholders across marketing and customer success to ensure our platform exceeds any expectations and goals game publishers have for our solution. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape not just our company, but the future landscape of go-to-market for all live service games.

We are seeking a team member that has deep ties within the gaming industry, capable of contributing directly to the strategic direction of the company. As part of the leadership team reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the vision and goals for Nexus, and translate that clearly into our sales efforts and decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Establish sales targets and KPIs and develop plans to achieve them.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the gaming and influencer marketing industry.
  • Collaborate with our marketing and product teams to develop effective sales collateral, product positioning, and pricing strategies.
  • Help to foster and support an inclusive culture both internally with your peers and externally with key partners and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at game publishers to understand their business needs and provide solutions that exceed those needs.
  • Attend domestic and international industry events and conferences to network with potential clients and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Regularly provide sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics to executive management.

 

Skills you’ll develop and experience you’ll gain

  • Build a network across the full spectrum of gaming publishers, developers, and creators
  • As our first Account Manager, you will establish the foundation for building a successful and customer-centric sales process. You will have a significant influence on shaping this role and function at Nexus.

  • Flex your organizational and project management skills in order to effectively manage an exciting and diverse pipeline of gaming partners

 

Ideal person for this role

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role within the gaming industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills, capable of devising and executing a comprehensive sales strategy.
  • Deep passion for all things gaming
  • Experience with CRM software for managing a sales pipeline
