We are No Brakes Games, a talented team of indie developers passionate about creating quality games.

We are now looking for a Visual Style Development Artist to help establish the art direction on our next game. This is a freelance, remote role for which candidates need to have prior experience on shipped games, demonstrated through a portfolio.

Following the phenomenal success of Human: Fall Flat, it’s such an exciting time to be a part of our team as we are working on a new and unannounced title currently in pre-production. Creativity, fun, and innovation are at the heart of our games and we always encourage our team to feel empowered, happy, and inspired as a collaborative force.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the style and look of the game.
  • Set a clear direction for the 3D artists to be able to work from.
  • Collaborate with our tech artist to establish the look of lighting, shaders and VFX.
  • Concept immersive and engaging locations with a strong sense of place.
  • Establish shapes and detail guidelines.
  • Work closely with art and design to uphold the vision and core pillars of the game.
