Oh My Me is looking for a contract Unity C# programmer who is as experienced, reliable, and hard working as we are. Our entire studio is remote and we are avid Slack and Discord users. We do quick stand up meetings Mondays and Fridays with organic discussions when needed throughout the week. Good communication is essential. This position will be a mix of working on systems independently as well as collaborating with animators and other programmers on larger sections of the game. Ideally you’ll be able to give and receive constructive feedback, discuss appropriate solutions and incorporate it into your work.

The project you will be working on is called Seafrog. An award winning, skateboard action platformer that hearkens back to the nostalgic days of early 3D platformers, but with a modern take on mechanics and gameplay.

The following are requirements of this position:

  • 1+ commercially shipped game
  • Proficiency with the Unity game engine and C#
  • Produce organized code that other programmers can use and easily deconstruct
  • Experience building save systems from the ground up
  • Experience creating custom Unity Editor tools/databases
  • Experience creating Enemy/AI behaviors
  • Experience with Localization practices

The contract pays $50 - $65 an hour and we are looking to bring someone on for 9 months with possible long term extension if we find the right candidate. We are looking to build a strong working relationship with an exceptionally talented programmer that can bring ideas to the table, build things that surprise and delight people, and have fun while doing it. If you feel this could be you, please contact us!

Seafrog is a skateboarding game without the skateboards. Play as a mechanic who is lost at sea with his digital cohort, Woodsbeard. Race through skatepark-like ships, breaking machines, firing off cannons, and salvaging parts that will help you escape a mysterious and alluring sinkhole in the ocean.
