At Paralives, we are working on a life simulation game of the same name. Started in 2019, the development is crowdfunded through Patreon and the game will launch on Steam for PC and Mac. As lifelong fans of The Sims, we are looking to build on the genre and innovate to create a fresh experience.

About the Community Manager Position

As Paralives is being developed with and for the community, you will be an important pillar of the team. Our development is community and marketing based so we aim to share as much as possible about our progress and goals. We are grateful to have passionate fans that are excited to follow game development updates.

As part of your role, you will get the chance to directly contribute to Paralives’ success by building the community and the interest of players for the game.‍

Task Summary

• 1️⃣ Write and plan social media posts
• 2️⃣ Reply to comments and questions from the community
• 3️⃣ Manage the Discord server in collaboration with our moderators
• 4️⃣ Take part in Q&A sessions with the community
• 5️⃣ Work with other team members and participate in review meetings

In addition to these tasks, we are looking for someone with one or many of the following specializations.

Content Creation

• Play the game and continuously look for interesting things to share with the community
• Edit images and videos
• Write different texts to promote the game

‍

Public Relation

• Research Youtubers, streamers and journalists who could be interested in the game
• Improve our contact list
• Write and send emails to influencers and media to share important news about the game
• Take part in meetings with potential external marketing partners

‍

Marketing

• Continuously improve Paralives’ marketing plan
• Study many questions such as the selling price of the game
• Improve the information and presentation on our website, Patreon and Steam page

‍

Community engagement

• Research and prepare new ideas to engage with the community
• Be very reactive to reply to community comments and questions
• Collect the best ideas and suggestions from the community‍

What We Are Looking For

• ✍️ Copywriting experience
• 📚 Excellent written and spoken English
• 🤼 Ability to work in a team and adapt to different constraints
• 🦩  Strong interest for The Sims and its community‍

Salary

At Paralives, in order to be as transparent as possible, we have a pre-established pay scale based on years of relevant professional experience. Salaries are public within the company.

• 0-1 to years - $42 000 CAD / year
• 1-2 to years - $46 000 CAD / year
• 2-3 to years - $50 000 CAD / year
• 3-4 to years - $53 000 CAD / year
• 4-5 to years - $56 000 CAD / year
• 5-6 to years - $58 000 CAD / year
• And so on‍
