We’re Playdead, an independent game company based in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. We have made two critically acclaimed titles, LIMBO and INSIDE. Our current project is a 3rd-person science fiction adventure set in a remote corner of the universe.

Playdead is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer with a love for creative storytelling in the social space.

You will join a group of talented people in a production environment where independence, productivity, and initiative are highly valued. We expect that you will be equally comfortable listening to input from a broad creative team and bringing your own creative perspectives to the table. We work with a sense of rhythm that allows you the creative space to produce high fidelity content even during tight turnarounds.

What will I be doing?

  • Creating and editing video for trailers, commercial, b-roll, sizzle reels etc.
  • Graphic design covering everything from web design, assets, social media and storefronts
  • Working closely with another Designer to conceptualise and design the visual identity of Playdead as well as building templates for general use
  • Collaborating across Playdead on other design related tasks

What we would like to see

  • Professional digital design experience translating concepts, scripts and abstract ideas into compelling graphics and audio
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, video editing, and web design
  • A strong portfolio showing a clean and clear style
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Bonus points if you have worked with Flash/HTML/CSS

Playdead is an independent game developer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are the creators and publishers of LIMBO and INSIDE. Our current project is a 3rd person, open world, science fiction adventure built for multiple platforms on Unreal Engine, published by Epic Games Publishing.

Our legacy and ambition is to make games with an uncompromising attention to detail. Our approach to development is experimental, iterative and collaborative. We are particularly interested in friendly, talented people who feel confident taking charge of their own schedule.

We are currently 50 creative professionals and still looking to grow.
