**THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED**

Hello folks! This is Joel, creator of the award-winning game, Prune. I’m deep into working on my next game in collaboration with Annapurna Interactive and am now looking for someone to help out with the environment art. You’ll be remotely working with me to create beautiful, stylized 3D environments in a fast and efficient manner. This is a part-time contract position, starting as soon as possible and potentially going until we ship. Applicants from underrepresented groups and diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply!

What You Would Be Doing:

  • Take existing “grayboxed” scenes and bring them to life
  • Quickly create 3D sketches and explorations to define the look of scenes
  • Model key assets
  • Select color palettes to communicate emotion and mood
  • Push forward the overall art direction
  • Build with performance and optimization in mind

What Would Be A Good Fit:

  • Efficiency/Speed - there are a lot of scenes to art up (that’s the nature of the game) so sketching out scenes quickly and moving on will be important
  • Strong use of color and composition - your art makes people feel things
  • Unity experience - I’ve been making the game 100% in Unity up till now so having somebody who can jump in will really help
  • Proficient in *a* 3D modeling package, doesn’t matter which one
  • Art generalist is a big plus - the ability to jump between modeling, composing a scene, concepting, and more technical art tasks
  • Experience working with source control (Perforce, Unity Collab) a plus

Interested? Send over your portfolio + relevant details and why you’d be a good fit to hello@polyculture.co. If you don’t feel like you meet everything listed above but still think it could work out, get in touch!
