Come be a part of Prologue studio as a game designer building world-class experiences that span AR and VR. We are focused on building the best possible social and gaming experiences and believe that AR/VR will help define the future of online interaction. As a game designer, you will effectively collaborate with a wide range of disciplines such as product design, engineers, producers, product managers, and art direction to ideate and build assets to define our CrimeTrip experiences.


  • Design end-to-end games with satisfying and novel core mechanics and game loops.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions, working with the Design, Product, and Executive teams
  • Give and solicit real-time feedback from other designers to continually raise the quality and the craftsmanship of the product
  • Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers, content strategists & QA, overseeing the implementation of the user experience from product conception to launch - as well as post-launch design support
  • Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads including user research, data science, and product management
  • Clearly articulate game design decisions to a vast set of internal stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience using or making games with a 3D engine (Unreal, Unity, etc.)
  • 5+ years of game design experience or a minimum of 2 shipped titles that have been successful (critically acclaimed, award-winning, etc.)
  • Experience leading end-to-end development efforts and designing games from concept to launch
  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams to bring a game vision to life
  • Experience inspiring teams with your games’ vision, but also actively getting into game development and prototyping and tuning the feel of the game
  • A portfolio that features some games you have prototyped or shipped, and showcases your game design skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or designing AR or VR games
  • 5+ years of game design experience or a minimum of 3 shipped titles in AAA or indie game spaces
  • Experience with technical aspects of game design such as scripting in Unity, or blueprints in Unity
  • General design knowledge across a range of design specializations
  • Shipped titles as a Level Designer, a System Designer, or a Gameplay Designer


The Employee will be entitled to 2 weeks (10 days of paid vacation) for the first year. As another benefit, the Employee will receive Four (4) paid sick days (two more than the days offered by the Canadian government). At the end of the year, if a sick day balance is available, the Employee can then convert it into vacation or salary, at the discretion of the Employee. Prologue closes its operations for the December holiday season, these days off will be communicated to the Employee in advance and will not be taken into account in the calculation of days of annual vacation holiday.
