Protodroid DeLTA is looking for a freelance/contract Script Writer for a 3D action-platformer! You will be responsible for refining, editing, or in many cases rewriting parts of the script (based on an existing storyline) to ensure each conversation is engaging, well-paced, and well-timed for an action game.

The Script Writer will work closely with the Lead Developer to craft a script that will have players falling in love with each of the game’s vibrant characters. Responsibilities

  • Writing and editing the game’s dialogue (currently ~8000 words)
  • Keeping the script to within target word count limits
  • Creating and maintaining line-by-line VO scripts

Requirements

  • A strong portfolio showcasing recent personal or professional script writing work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in Google Suite collaborative tools (Docs, Sheets)
  • Self-directed and receptive to critique and feedback

Preferences

  • Professional experience in writing for commercial video games, with at least one title shipped in a narrative or writing role

Hi! I'm Adam Kareem. I'm a solo indie developer based in Mountain View, CA creating "Protodroid DeLTA" - a Megaman X inspired 3D action platformer set in a Solarpunk world.The game is built with Unreal Engine 4. 

I ran a successful Kickstarter in 2020 and am one of the first recipients of the Humble Games "Black Game Developer Fund". I’m now looking to hire freelance/contract talent to help me complete the project.
