Hello there! We’re a publisher. And one of the things we do is to release games. We need you to help us with that part. It’s very cool. You press a button and the game is out there in the world for everyone to enjoy. You did that!

Here’s what's up: we’re Raw Fury. We like to do things a bit differently, and we pride ourselves on it. We’re real people and treat each other like it. We’re a “for happiness” company, so we work hard and play hard.

We're looking for a person to be the next Release Manager to join our awesome Release team. Someone who can be entrusted to take a passion project from a developer and put it in players hands. Someone who wants to gather insights, make plans, and execute on those plans.

  • Planning: create release plans, join kick offs, revaluate and re-assess with the Publishing teams, document in a central plan of record
  • Risk Management: active participation managing/resolving risks and issues that impact release schedule plans
  • Communication: understand the value of alignment. Share project plans and changes promptly to maintain a clear plan across all teams
  • Submission: delivery of all builds to Platform partners
  • Partner Management: work alongside a business counterpart to represent all operational plans and platform opportunities internally and externally
  • Continuous improvement: capitalize on opportunities to improve the release management process. Understand root cause analysis.
  • Age Ratings: Management of age rating certification

  • You play video games. They are a hobby, and a career choice all at once.
  • You have experience within Release and/or Operations: You are the supporting role to the game development and publishing teams. You're a shoulder to lean on and you know how to keep cool.
  • You’re proficient in all the games industry tools. Stuff like project management tools, Platform specific tools (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) etc.

If this sounds like you, and you’re interested in being a part of this funky endeavour with competitive compensation and sky-high aspirations, hit apply.

We are especially looking forward to applications from people from underrepresented groups - people of color, LGBTQIA+, people with accessibility needs and marginalized genders.

Raw Fury

We’re Raw Fury, an unusual indie game publisher with heavy focus on individual autonomy and with an insatiable desire to sign magical experiences that move us. We’re just people. Just people with an abnormal interest in games. Okay, it goes beyond that. All of us believe that games matter. They are the marriage of art and craft. They can elevate, change, entertain, surprise, and move people. They’re the modern vessels for our stories – our imagination. They facilitate communication and communion.

What benefits do you offer?

  • Flexible hours
  • Remote friendly since 2015
  • 30 PTO days + national holidays
  • Gym reimbursement

The Tenets of Fury

Principles We Work by:

  • Treat People like People. Transparency, mutual respect, and trust are the basis of making this work.
  • For Happiness, over Profit. We work with people we like, focus on happiness, and believe money comes as a derivative of people feeling happy and motivated to do their best work.
  • Games are Art. They can touch people. To change minds and hearts. They can transmute an idea into something new.
Featured Game

Embark on a unique and unforgettable journey and guide Sable (Shedworks) through her Gliding; a rite of passage that will take her across vast deserts and mesmerizing landscapes, capped by the remains of spaceships and ancient wonders.

Townscaper (Oskar Stålberg) is an indie city builder video game. Build quaint island towns with curvy streets. Build small hamlets, soaring cathedrals, canal networks, or sky cities on stilts. Block by block.

Call of the Sea (Out of the Blue Games) is an otherworldly tale of mystery and love set in the 1930s South Pacific. Explore a lush island paradise, solve puzzles and unlock secrets in the hunt for your husband’s missing expedition.

👋 A note from Work With Indies: Rachel and Mai recently joined us for an AMA in our Discord server to answer questions about their then-open Graphic Designer role. While that role has been closed, they also answered questions about Raw Fury's culture, working remotely, and transitioning from outside of games into Raw Fury. You can read the full recap here.

"The #1 thing I love about working at Raw Fury (#2 being flexibility) is the people. Our coworkers and our developers. Our colleagues in a different timezone are SO NICE... There are meetings just to chat over coffee, biannual meetups to meet in person, and various chats to ensure team cohesion!" - Rachel
