A community manager’s role is to act as a bridge between the brand and the community we’re hoping to build. The ideal candidate would act as an ambassador for the brand, engaging and forming relationships with potential customers and partners.

Our community manager’s goals will be to… 

• Increase the number of Patreon subscriptions, so that the game development feedback can be crowdsourced and revenue targets are met for the first launch
• Increase the number of social media followers and the engagement happening across all platforms
• Establish key media partnerships and look for PR opportunities
• Improve our communication about the game, copywriting, and working with the team on content creation‍

Daily and monthly responsibilities:

• Establish, plan, and implement social media, Patreon, and kickstarter campaigns and strategies
• Provide engaging text, image and video content for all social media and professional accounts 
• Respond to the community, both Patreon members and social media audiences, in a timely manner
• Monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews 
• Organize and manage events to raise brand awareness 
• Build relationships with community members, industry professionals and journalists 
• Keep up-to-date with digital marketing trends
• Keep up-to-date with team members and the current state of projects‍

Requirements

• Familiarity with major RPG franchises such as Final Fantasy, Persona, Tales, et al
• Communicating within the gaming community via social media
• Proven work experience as a community manager or in a similar role 
• Experience in planning and leading community initiatives 
• Ability to identify and track relevant KPIs 
• Excellent communication and writing skills 
• Excellent skills in writing 
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Hands-on experience in social media management
• Knowledge of online marketing through instagram, twitter, reddit, imgur, and any other relevant media
• Experience interpreting and utilizing Google Analytics data
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills ‍
