The Senior 3D Environment Artist will report to the Lead Environment Artist and Art Director to help drive the vision and game visuals forward. Your focus will be to create stunning, beautiful, and immersive environments. You will be responsible for playable environments from conception to final polish while utilizing your skills that include modelling, texturing, lighting, optimization and level design.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the lead environment artist
Creating 3D environments and assets from concept art and descriptions
Creating block-out assets and crafting production level stylized game environments
Modeling various models that are efficient, UV’d and have proper lightmaps
Create stylized PBR textures
Importing models into Unreal, setting them up correctly and creating applicable materials
Working closely with the rest of the art team to maintain a consistent and high-quality art style
Working closely with game designers to create and adjust environments based on gameplay needs
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in 3D modeling/sculpting/texturing
Proficient in industry standard tools like Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance
Expert Knowledge of game environment development processes from sculpting, to retopo, baking, uvs, texturing etc
Strong knowledge of modular construction and assembly techniques, lighting, colour theory, composition, shape language and post process effects
Good sense of asset organization and adherence to naming conventions
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive towards clarity to deliver work on time
Able to give and receive constructive feedback
A shipped game title
A love of JRPGs

Familiarity with Unreal Engine and version control
Resident of Ontario, Canada or willing to move here
