Robin Games, Inc is looking for a driven game designer to join our rapidly growing mobile gaming company. As a Game Designer at Robin, you’ll be working closely with our content, product, and design teams to create levels and gameplay experiences for a new mobile game. This is a full-time, remote opportunity for a talented individual who enjoys working in a close-knit, collaborative startup environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use a proprietary tool to create levels for a new mobile game
  • Write compelling copy for each level
  • Work with our Design Director to execute and rapidly iterate upon our level design best practices
  • Pitch new features and iterations that target core KPIs
  • Write effective design documentation that includes basic wireframes
  • Work closely with other departments to drive proper implementation of approved features

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of experience working in mobile games as a game designer
  • 1 year of experience as a level designer
  • Experience working with a CMS or level creation tool
  • Strong understanding of game design principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to rapidly take on new tasks and revisions

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience driving a design throughout its full lifecycle (from its initial pitch through liveops iterations)
  • Interest in the beauty, fashion, or interior design industries
  • Interest in customization or builder games
  • A keen eye for visual aesthetics
  • Experience writing copy for a game
  • Passion for playing and making games that feature excellent player experiences
  • Experience working in a start-up environment
  • A degree in Game Design
