We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the arts of design and programming for an upcoming interactive experience. You will work with our designers to iterate on UI/UX design wireframes and translate them into a user-friendly website with robust, reliable code. You will lead the development of the reactive website and will take an active role in the design of the interactive experience.
Responsibilities:
- Translate wireframed designs into a rich, reactive website
- Assist with the design of user-facing features and help ensure technical feasibility
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use as the experience is updated over time
- Optimize the website for maximum speed and scalability
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Proficiency in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Experience with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Familiarity with best practices across multiple browsers and platforms, especially mobile.
- Basic knowledge of image editing (cropping, resizing, etc.) to assist with final fit, finish, and delivery optimization of image content for the site.
Bonuses:
- Visual design skills such as graphic design, motion graphics, etc.
- Passion for games and the video games industry
- Experience with WordPress-hosted websites a plus
- The ideal candidate will be able to join us at our office in beautiful Boulder, Colorado once COVID-19 related working conditions improve.
