Skymap Games is hiring programmers to join our engineering department. Engineers within the department work collaboratively to deliver projects to industry partners, as well as develop our own internal games. Our work spans across all gaming platforms and utilizes a wide range of technologies. We are actively hiring engineers at any level of experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop production-level code that is clear, effective, and matches the quality expectations of Skymap's Engineering Department.
- Collaborate with other departments within Skymap Games, as well as our clients, in order to solve technical problems.
- Estimate the time needed to complete programming tasks based on design specifications.
- Help instruct members of the Skymap team in your personal fields of expertise
- Technically design and take ownership of core gameplay elements or components, and define discrete subtasks
Qualifications
- A commitment to a safe and welcoming work environment
- Strong object oriented programming fundamentals
- Knowledge with least one game engine (Unity, Unreal, Godot, etc.)
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- An ability to independently develop, communicate, and share solutions for technical problems
- Interested in, or already specialized in, a particular skill in game programming (AI, networking, etc.)
- Experience with debugging and optimizing code for high performance
Pluses
- Interested in, or already specialized in, a particular skill in game programming (AI, networking, etc.)
- Experience working in Unreal Engine
- Experience working in fully remote teams
Compensation
Full-time salaried (Anticipated $70,000 - $85,000 depending on level of experience)
