Hello there! I'm the indie game development "team" (I.E. just me and contractors as needed) behind the popular games Organ Trail and Max Gentlemen Sexy Business! We're now working on a new (SFW) game with a focus on great story and characters established in our last hit game Max Gentlemen Sexy Business! This time, we're creating a narratively driven first-person exploration and social deduction game, and we need a talented 3D Environment Artist to help us bring this world to life.

We're offering part-time, remote work, flexible schedules and a low-stress and collaborative team environment. As our 3D Environment Artist, you will work alongside the company lead (me) and our concept artist to help bring the game to life.

The currently titled Murder By Air, is a multiple murder mystery game set primarily on an absurd airship with Victorian/Edwardian architecture. If you have an eye for detail and a love of architecture, this job is for you. We need someone who can keep the poly count low-to-medium, while still delivering visually clear and stimulating environments. Our visual inspirations are close to Professor Layton and Ace Attorney games, so a keen sense of texture work with a painterly feel and working with outline shaders is key.

Requirements:

• Experience working as an Environment Artist in games.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling and texturing software (e.g. Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, Photoshop)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self sufficient when it comes to problem solving, time management, & task management
• A portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in 3D environments, props, and texturing (especially in lower poly environments.)

Desired Experience / Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Unity engine
• Experience with VFX
• Version control, specifically Perforce, experience is a plus!
• Shipped/released at least one video game from start to finish.
• Familiarity with the Max Gentlemen IP :)
