Treehouse Games is looking for amazing people who are excited to create games that are the best way for friends to spend time together.

Creating a world that players enjoy and want to spend time in is a vital part of the experience we're building here at Treehouse. We're searching for a highly skilled 3D Environment Artist to join our team and help bring that world to life. As a 3D Environment Artist you should have a strong understanding of form, lighting, detail, the skill to interpret concept art, and the technical skills to bring your work to life in Unreal Engine.

Our goal is to build a supportive team of strong communicators and area specialists that love to collaborate across discipline lines to create exciting experiences for friends to enjoy together. We are committed to remote working and already have team members across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Create 3D assets and textures to decorate and bring environments to life.
  • Work closely with the rest of the art team to maintain a consistent and always improving aesthetic across all 3d assets in the game.
  • Understand game requirements to create assets that are optimized for gameplay, deformation and animation.
  • Receive feedback from art director, animators and design, and editing your creations based on the comments received.
  • Able to give and receive constructive feedback.

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience as a 3D Artist in games or related industries .
  • Experience with PBR material pipeline and lighting
  • Expertise in industry-standard content creation tools, such as Blender, Zbrush Substance Designer/Painter and Unreal Engine.
  • An eye for sculpting, composition, texture, color, and lighting.
  • Online availability during our core hours of 11am to 4pm PST.

Preferred

  • Portfolio showcasing a breadth of stylized art.
  • Professional experience working in Unreal 4
  • Other discipline experience such as character art, shader development, VFX, procedural asset creation a huge plus.
