With a talent for writing and a passion for delivering news, you will support the Content Editor by covering and breaking the latest and most important Xbox-related news for, and PlayStation news for You will have an eye for the stories and angles that no one else has thought of, in everything from an achievement list to a new marketplace listing, to a Reddit thread. You will be able to distill complex information into an eye-catching headline and an engaging, clear news article.

You will be trained to write lively and authoritative copy on everything from the latest AAA announcements to the hottest rising indies. You will be covering technical specs and business dealings as well as diving into our player data to find new gameplay trends.

Reporting to the Content Editor, you’ll receive full training on our in-house CMS, the latest SEO techniques, and be guided on which stories to write and the best way to write them.


Your responsibilities will include searching for and writing day-to-day news about new and old games researching angles and avenues for the above, talking to developers, publishers, and PRs for comment, and spotting and pursuing opportunities for original investigations. As well as occasional review, preview, guide, op-ed, feature, and video work, press trips, including internationally (when viable).


You will have the ability to write brilliantly, quickly, and to brief, across a range of disciplines, a keen interest in console videogames and a good knowledge of them. As well as an Xbox Gamertag or a PSN ID, experience writing news or features regularly, preferably online, proficiency with Google Docs, email, and other work tools.

You must be proactive, have attention to detail, and excellent organization skills.


You’ll be given regular feedback to help you improve, and plenty of support to get you up to speed. This will be done via video and text chat while homeworking, and then in person in our Bournemouth office as soon as the rules allow.

TrueGaming Network will provide the computer equipment required to work from home, however, you will need a working internet connection.
