What We  Need:

Turn Me Up is looking for a dedicated and innovative Junior Engineer specializing in Unreal Engine. This engineer will work with Turn Me Up’s Lead Engineer to create and refine the tools used by Turn Me Up’s creative department, as well as implement game systems and mechanics.

This Engineer will also work with the Lead Engineer to assist all creative departments (including Art, Audio, Game Design, Graphic Design, Cinematics, Animation, and others) with implementation of these departments’ creative content. Due to the multi-disciplinary requirements of this position, passion for gaining broad Unreal Engine knowledge is key.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with designers to develop and maintain gameplay systems
  • Assist with creation and refinement of Engine Utilities for use by the creative team during development
  • Assist with rapid prototyping of gameplay features/mechanics
  • Implement content from creative departments into Unreal Engine
  • Test and fix bugs
  • Profile and optimize code
  • Assist with architecture and technology decisions, contribute innovative engineering solutions
  • Maintain timely and efficient workflow as necessary

What Would Make a Strong Candidate:

  • Unreal specialist
  • High degree of familiarity with the Blueprint visual scripting system
  • C++ proficiency
  • Rapid prototyping experience
  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to contribute innovative ideas and solutions
  • Understanding of gaming industry/video games
  • Passion for learning all disciplines of game development as they relate to Engineering

Application Requirements:

  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant skills and past work
  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design (or related field) or 2+ years Unreal Engine experience
