There are approximately 300 million children in the world facing developmental challenges like ADHD, asperger, motoric restlessness, or any kind of learning disability. Some of them will learn how to compensate for their disadvantages and maybe even make them work in their favor, but the vast majority, when they grow up, will suffer from some kind of psychological problem, such as depression, anxiety, poor emotional control, etc.

There is an amazing method of brain training proven to be the most efficient treatment for many child developmental issues. The method is called neurofeedback, a science based way of teaching the brain to self regulate. Basic principles of neurofeedback have been known since the middle of last century and it’s been used for decades for preparation of top athletes and high performing professionals. Umo neuroscience is revolutionizing neurofeedback by making it accessible to everybody who can benefit from it.

The central part of the method is playing video games with the power of the mind. In this project, we want to make the video gaming part of our solution more attractive and practical. If you want to use your creativity to help hundreds of thousands kids around the world to grow up to be happy and healthy individuals you are halfway through to be our ideal partner.

The goals of this project are:

  • To create a couple of new video games that can run in a web browser built by some of the popular web technologies.
  • To rebuild the existing set of simple, small video games (written in Unity) into games that can run in a web browser built by some of the popular web technologies.
  • To integrate the work into a wider (existing) neurofeedback training solution.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Creating HTML5 games
  • JavaScript
  • HTML5
  • Canvas
  • Real-time rendering (bonus)
