Hello there! Weathered Sweater is looking for a short-term, contract Art Director / Look Dev to help guide the aesthetic of a new, unannounced project that will require the touch of an experienced artist/art director. This contract is for the prototype / vertical slice.
For this role we are looking for an exceptionally talented artist that has experience developing art styles and art pipelines for games with great graphics. Any applicant should have an extremely solid foundation in both 2D and 3D art, proven experience with either 2D or 3D animation, and experience shipping games in Unity.
We can’t say much about the project, but it is a turn-based, procedural, survival game set on the open ocean. It’s in the ideation and prototyping stage. Here are some internal concepts and very early in-engine (3D) mockups. We have not decided on 2D or 3D yet.
