Wired are looking for a Console Games QA Tester to work within its in-house team. The successful candidate will play a key part in the testing process and helping the project team achieve their target quality in design and implementation.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Focusing on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch
  • Inquisitive and technical mind.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated attitude.
  • Proven logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Track record of working well within a team.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the leading consoles and PC.
  • Follow Wired QA process, professional standards and set the highest standards in testing.
  • Ensure that all issues and bugs are reported in an efficient & informative manner.
  • Own, manage, create and regularly execute test cases throughout the project life cycle. This includes document testing practises, QA process and reporting methods.
  • Actively participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure QA effectively tests and supports all features of the project.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the Wired team both written and verbally 
  • Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently & all instructions are followed accurately.
  • Support all departments in collating assets such as screenshots, gameplay footage, key-art.

Qualifications

Held a tester position or had experience testing games.

  • Excellent MS Office Skills.
  • Knowledge of bug reporting workflow & bug databases.
  • Experienced games player with the ability to quickly familiarise with game-play elements.
  • Understanding of games, development cycle, key milestones, and game terminology.
