Spearhead technical development for a new project in a small, fully remote team. This hands-on role includes building the technical foundation and implementing core game systems, requiring a passion for robust code and collaborative teamwork. Our focus is on Colony sim / City builder-like games.

Responsibilities:

• Lead core game system development in Unity.
• Design and implement features and tools
• Own system architecture and solve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with the designer on problem-solving and edge cases.
• Define and maintain coding standards.
• Mentor and support fellow developers.
• Foster a friendly, communicative culture.

Required:

• Extensive Unity games industry experience.
• Proven complex problem-solving ability.
• Proven ability to leverage existing solutions and assets for rapid, efficient development.
• Strong preference for direct, asynchronous communication (Slack/Discord).
• History of high code quality and project investment.
• Leadership experience in development teams.
