We are looking for a 3D artist to complete modular ship models for the Unity HDRP game.
Models are initialized and have a defined scale, partitioning, and file structure. The ability to adapt to the existing system without disrupting modularity, pivots, and hierarchies is essential.
Scope of work
- finishing and detailing ship models;
- Mid-Poly modeling with emphasis on Hard Surface;
- maintaining module compatibility;
- preparation of UV, PBR materials and LOD levels;
- texturing using trim sheets, tileable textures and atlases;
- controlling polycount and consistent texel density;
- selectively adding geometry in LOD0 to highlight important details and silhouette.
Requirements
- very good knowledge of Blender;
- experience in creating Hard Surface models for games;
- good knowledge of Substance Painter and Substance Designer;
- practical knowledge of trim sheets, tileable textures and atlases;
- knowledge of PBR, UV, normals and model optimization;
- conscious management of polycount and texel density;
- experience in working with existing, modular assets;
- portfolio containing game-ready models and technical breakdowns.
Welcome
- experience with ships, vehicles or large modular assets;
- knowledge of Unity HDRP;
- interest in historical ships and pirate games;
- knowledge of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which is our main quality and stylistic reference.
Terms of cooperation
- billing per ship, not per hour;
- possible parallel cooperation with several subcontractors.
