We're hiring a remote artist to create visual style and assets for our 100+ player multiplayer roleplaying game.
what you'll work on
We're hiring a remote artist to create visual style and assets for our 100+ player multiplayer roleplaying game.
what you'll work on
- Create how the game looks like and turn it into assets: characters, environment, props, mood, vehicles, etc.
- We're going for a stylized look that blends goofy and serious.
- You'll work alongside our technical artist who will take care of the tech side. You'll focus on visual design and assets.
who we're looking for
- Honestly, I don't give a flying fajita about where you went to school or who you worked for.
- What matters is your creativity, eye for design, and ability to take an idea from concept to asset.
- Look through our game concept below. If you like the idea and want to design how this world should look like, apply.
our game concept
- A roleplaying simulator where you can play different roles: robbers, cops, bartender, etc.
- If you don't know what roleplay is, then check out Garry's Mod, FiveM, or any roleplaying game.
- At the root, it's cops vs. robbers.
- Robbers craft illegals, sell, make money, commit crimes, and expand. Police counter them.
- Here are generated concept images. This isn't how our game will look - just quick examples so you can get a rough idea.
work details
- Fully remote
- Work your own hours
- Paid per milestone/asset guide: 50% upfront, 50% on delivery
- Short-term or long-term, depending on your availability
how we use AI
I've seen plenty of indie studios pump out AI generated slop built on stolen designs just to cut corners.
I'm not here to debate the morality of it. People can do whatever the hell they want.
But we don't use AI for that.
We're hiring an artist because we want your brain and your taste. If I wanted a machine to art direct our game, I wouldn't have posted this job.
I'm not against using AI as a tool. Like if you want to use it to speed things up, organize references or build quick drafts, go for it. But the artist still does the drawing and the final work.
apply
- Submit application and I'll email you next steps.
- If you're hired: we sign paperwork and get to work.
- If you're not: I'll tell you. I've always disliked companies that leave people hanging.
about us
We're a small indie studio building makRP, a standalone multiplayer roleplaying game.
Currently building out the core team. We're self-funded, the team is intentionally small, and we're looking for people who want to work with us long-term.
