MCDM Productions is Seeking a Token Artist!
We released our TTRPG, Draw Steel, last year to a pretty good reception and just released our dedicated VTT for it to Steam Early Access.
Project Brief
Because of budget and layout limitations, not every character or monster from the rules has dedicated art, so we need to fill in the gaps for the VTT versions of our adventures and products with additional token art. Our current tokens are derived from book illustrations which are very high quality, but overkill for the needs of tokens.
We’re looking for an artist, or artists, who can hit the sweet spot of delivering token illustrations to a quality level that is not dissonant with the illustrations we are already using, but within the budget constraints of a TTRPG virtual tabletop or what we like to call a “video game adjacent” product.
We can send you additional token specifications, including a size template, upon request. But the TL;DR is that tokens will need to be about 512 pixels square in a PSD with the token character isolated on a layer, with some tokens requiring some simple paper doll style layers.
Project Scope & Compensation
Depending on your style and the needs of the particular token, we can offer between $100 - $200 per token. Exact amount of tokens needed will vary based on the product (adventure or supplement), but for an initial engagement we are looking to fill in the gaps for about a dozen tokens.
