As a Social Media Video Content Creator, your responsibilities include creating creative short content ideas, understand and know current and active video game and indie game trends, edit videos to be engaging with our audiences and potential new ones, and be able to adapt and give feedback on daily-weekly analytics on all video platforms (YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram). You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to achieve these goals.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Proven experience creating short-form video content (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels), ideally within gaming or entertainment
• Strong awareness of current gaming trends, especially in indie games, adventure survival crafting communities, and viral social formats.
• Ability to consistently generate creative, engaging content ideas that resonate with gaming audiences and social media users.
• Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar), with an understanding of pacing, hooks, subtitles, and retention strategies.
• Familiarity with major social platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram), including general algorithm behavior and content best practices.
• Basic understanding of content performance metrics (views, watch time, engagement) and willingness to iterate based on results.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and quick iteration cycles.
• Genuine interest in video games, with knowledge of both popular and emerging indie titles.

Nice-to-Haves

• 2-4 years of exposure to the gaming industry, through internships, academic projects, game jams, or content creation focused on games or play throughs
• 4+ years of personal or semi-professional social media experience, especially on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
• Comfort appearing on camera or providing voiceovers for creator-style or personality-driven content.
• Familiarity with meme culture and internet trends, especially within gaming communities.
• Basic motion graphics or visual effects skills to enhance video quality.
• Experience experimenting with content formats, including trying trends, A/B testing hooks, or iterating on performance insights.
• Exposure to community platforms (Discord, Reddit, Twitter/X) and understanding how they influence viral content.
• Interest in indie game marketing, live service content, or player community engagement.
