First of all, we want to thank you for reading our job post.
We're a small indie game studio experimenting with all sorts of tech to create that 'Gasp!!' reaction from players and viewers alike. We revolve around tools and novel game concepts.
We've worked on several indie games (co-dev) and projects, more of which you can read below at the About Us section.

Contract Duration and Beyond 📋
The current role is a contract / project based position for the project further described below.
Additionally, we can extend the cooperation if we completed the first project on good terms with these recurring future needs:
Lastly, though unavailable at this point in time, a permanent in-house position is not excluded later down the road for the right person who can start small with us and has patience for our studio to keep on growing.
Simply said, we take the time to understand the person who works with us and we gradually move things closer as we get to know each other better when interests and opportunities align.
Project context 🎯
We’re building a modular Unity tool to help create and customize cozy / stylized characters for indie games.
You can see some examples of the style that inspires us here.
They are aimed to be used most probably from a top down view, hence we will explore a bit which silhouettes work better.
The aim is to be able to design clothing and armor for characters in a cohesive manner towards modular design. This is why this role needs a bit of a problem solving mind-set and not just creating nice looking gear in isolation - it has to come well when we put them together!
Expect modularity in: top, bottom, hats, possibly gloves, hair styles and more!
We might also go the route with flipbook facial expressions (2D faces on 3D bodies) so there’s potential work for you there as well.
A nice bonus is if you can handle anthropomorphic cute animals as well, as this is something planned later down the road.
The 2D brief you design will help our 3D artist team create the assets.
In a nutshell: this is about exploration, modular design and creating content & variety together with us and produce something beautiful!

It is still work in progress, as the art stage for this project is now complete and now we’re wrapping up the generator features in Unity for it.

We are a relatively new studio with past work within the indie gaming scene (in co-dev capacity) some of which you can read below.
The type of work we do at Quest Fox Studio is two-fold: external (work with other indie studios, various projects, etc.) or internal when we work on our own games & projects.
We are now moving our attention towards our own projects and less on external ones. This effectively translates into having no shortage of task-variety :)
Currently we are 5 permanent in-house team members along-side with several other friends (from other indie studio such as Edgeflow Studios - Breachway), as well as other collaborators. We hang out on our Discord Sever where we exchange tasks, jokes and other mundane information we feel like sharing :)
